Our Bulk Golden Linseed NZ has high levels of dietary fibre both soluble and insoluble which contribute to regular laxation. What is the difference between Flaxseed and Linseed?

Flaxseed and Linseed may be used interchangeably. Flaxseed is more commonly used in North America, whereas other English-speaking countries often use Linseed, especially Australia and New Zealand.

What is so good about Linseed?

Linseed has one of the highest concentrations of plant-sourced Omega 3, commonly used as a plant-based fish oil alternative. Linseed contains Omega 3, alpha-linoleic acid, which is an essential fatty acid that our bodies are unable to produce. It must be consumed as part of our diets to maintain good health. Omega 6, linoleic acid, is another essential fatty acid, that provides all-around health to consumers of Linseed.

Linseed Oil is also a useful ingredient in skin care, nourishing from both the inside out and when directly absorbed through the skin.
