About our Forage Seeds

Midlands Seed is a leading supplier of Forage Seed, producing high-quality temperate grasses, clovers, and brassica forage crops for global markets. With decades of expertise in herbage seed production, our team works closely with growers to achieve exceptional yields, varietal purity, and seed performance. Our production systems are backed by advanced research, best-practice crop management, and strong agronomy support from sowing through to harvest.

We grow a number of Herbage seed varieties, notably temperate grasses and legumes and particularly ryegrass and white clover, for international markets. Our experienced and knowledgeable agronomic staff work very closely with our grower suppliers to ensure production outcomes are maximised for the grower and end user, including both quality and yield.

Forage Seed Uses

Our Forage Seed range supports a wide variety of pasture, grazing, and livestock systems, including:

  • Ryegrass for high-performance pasture and grazing
  • White and Red Clover for nitrogen fixation and pasture quality
  • Forage Kale and Brassicas for winter feed systems
  • Fodder Radish for soil regeneration and livestock finishing

These seeds are used in dairy, beef, sheep, mixed-farming, and environmentally focused systems worldwide. All varieties are GM-free, suited to temperate climates, and produced to ensure strong establishment and reliable performance.

We provide standard packing options when it comes to bulk supply. Orders are packed into containers or pellets in 25kg sacks, or in larger 500kg or 1000kg bulk bags.
