About our Jojoba Oil
Midlands Jojoba Oil is a premium cosmetic and wellness-grade oil sourced from trusted growers internationally. Available in bulk or NZ-formulated products, it is fully traceable and meets international quality standards for skin care and nutrition markets.
It is bright and golden in colour and highly favoured in the carrier oil family because of its advanced molecular stability. It is liquid at room temperature and because of its unique fatty acid profile it does not oxidise or become rancid. The properties of Jojoba Oil resembles that of sebum, an oily substance that is produced by human skin to prevent it from drying out. It is readily absorbed and does not evaporate like water based moisturizers, making it an excellent ingredient in skin and hair care formulations. Of all the compounds in nature, this wax ester is most similar to human skin oil (sebum), thus applying jojoba to the skin can “trick” the skin into thinking it is producing enough oil, subsequently balancing oil production.
