Where does hemp protein come from?

Hemp protein is made from the seeds of the Cannabis sativa plant. These hemp seeds are harvested at maturity and then transported to our oil extraction facility. The whole hemp seed is cold pressed, crushed to extract the oil. The leftover cake is then finely milled into a protein.  Nothing more, nothing less.

Is hemp protein powder better than whey?

That depends on why you want to consume more protein. Some of the key differences are the source, the amount of processing and the absorption of protein.

Hemp protein is minimally processed, and hemp protein is plant-based. Why on the other hand is animal-based, derived from dairy products, and is highly processed.

Although whey typically has more protein, protein is more easily absorbed from foods or minimally process protein. There are a few wholefood proteins, which avoid using high temperatures and artificial ingredients or extraction methods, including our cold pressed, raw hemp protein.
