It is rich in the Essential Fatty Acids (EFA’s) Alpha Linolenic Acid Botanical Name: Echium plantagineum
(Omega 3), Linoleic Acid (Omega 6), and also contains Omega
6, Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA), Oleic acid (Omega 9), and Food Safety: This product has been produced in accordance
Omega 3, Stearidonic Acid (SDA). with HACCP principles
Echium Oil is unique in that it contains nature’s richest known Active Ingredient(s): Alpha Linolenic Acid (Omega 3), Linoleic
source of SDA, a form of anti-inflammatory that is excellent for Acid (Omega 6), Gamma Linolenic Acid (Omega 6), Oleic Acid
(Omega 9), and Stearidonic Acid (Omega 3)
supporting skin health. Echium Oil is a superb ingredient for
skincare formulations and is commonly used in anti-wrinkle Extraction Method: Supercritical CO2 and/or Cold Pressed
products. Shelf life: If stored in unopened containers at less than 20°C,
Fatty Acid Composition this product can expect to have a shelf life of 12 months. Once
opened the shelf life is limited by temperature, light and oxygen
Fatty Acid Range exposure. Any remaining oil should be blanketed with Nitrogen
C16:0 Palmitic 6.0 – 8.0% and used as soon as possible.
